## Verdict

The Onkyo TX-NR6100 is a solid choice for those looking to upgrade their AV receiver, offering excellent sound quality and modern connectivity options like Bluetooth. It's great for home theater use, especially with a 5.1 setup, but might encounter some limitations if you're looking for a 9.1 experience or need strong bass performance. Ensure you have a TV on hand for the initial setup due to the HDMI requirement, and be prepared for potentially outdated streaming capabilities. Overall, it's a value-packed option for those who prioritize comprehensive home entertainment features.

**Top pro:** Excellent upgrade from older models with modern Bluetooth capability.
**Top con:** Requires HDMI connection to a TV for initial setup, which may not be ideal for audio-only setups.
