## Verdict

The National Geographic 50mm Portable Refractor Telescope - RF360MM offers decent terrestrial viewing but falls short for celestial observations. Its affordability and National Geographic branding may appeal to beginners; however, those serious about astronomy should consider investing in a more robust and reliable model. Practicing focusing during the day can improve usability, but be prepared for challenges with night sky viewing. The product may not live up to expectations for those seeking to explore planets or deep-space objects.

**Top pro:** Observers reported an impressive view of the half moon with clear and detailed imagery.
**Top con:** Many users found it impossible to focus on celestial objects, rendering it ineffective for its intended purpose.
