## Verdict

The MidWest 39" High Walk-thru Steel Pet Gate offers sturdy construction and functionality aimed at keeping pets safely contained within your home. Its design, adequate height, and adjustable width make it versatile for various spaces. While the quality and value are praised, significant flaws such as latch misalignment and safety concerns require attention. Buyers should be prepared for potential adjustments or consider alternative gates if those issues are a priority.

**Top pro:** The slats are narrow, preventing most cats from slipping through, ideal for pet separation.
**Top con:** There are significant manufacturing defects affecting assembly and function.
