# TLDR Review: LEGO Star Wars Republic Fighter Tank *Published: 2025-02-14 | Updated: 2025-01-06 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/reviews-tldr/lego-star-wars-republic-fighter-tank* --- ## Verdict The LEGO Star Wars Republic Fighter Tank (75342) offers a mixed bag. The set's minifigures, including Mace Windu and the 187th Legion Clones, are standout stars with intricate detailing that collectors will cherish. However, the set's build quality and over-reliance on stickers, coupled with its high price for the piece count, are notable drawbacks. Despite these issues, the set's play features make it appealing for Star Wars fans and young builders. If you're especially drawn to adding unique minifigures to your collection or are a fan of the Clone Wars series, this set might still be a worthy addition. **Top pro:** The set includes detailed minifigures like Mace Windu and 187th Legion Clones, which are highly praised and exclusive. **Top con:** The quality of the tank's build is disappointing, with components like cannons frequently detaching. ## Product: LEGO Star Wars Republic Fighter Tank [Compare prices and price history on ShopSavvy](https://shopsavvy.com/products/lego-star-wars-republic-fighter-tank) ## Pros - The set includes detailed minifigures like Mace Windu and 187th Legion Clones, which are highly praised and exclusive. - Positively highlights the inclusion of clone-themed minifigures, enhancing play value. - Features such as flick fire missiles and adjustable spring-loaded shooters add to the set's playability. - The tank design supports multiple figures, increasing its play options. - A fun and accessible building experience for children, encouraging skill development and parent-child bonding. - Mace Windu's arm printing and the design of the new clones are particularly well-received. - Smooth movement on hard surfaces due to well-designed wheels. - The set is recommended for fans of the Clone Wars series. ## Cons - The quality of the tank's build is disappointing, with components like cannons frequently detaching. - Excessive reliance on stickers for detailing, which detracts from the build quality. - The price is considered high for the 262 piece count, especially given the modest build features. - Front gate misalignment and shiny aesthetic are cited as visually unappealing. - Complaints about the lack of a commander or more significant characters for added value. - Some parts fall off frequently during play, impacting durability. - The build experience described as mediocre and not particularly memorable. ## Pros vs Cons at a Glance | Pros | Cons | |------|------| | The set includes detailed minifigures like Mace Windu and 187th Legion Clones, which are highly praised and exclusive. | The quality of the tank's build is disappointing, with components like cannons frequently detaching. | | Positively highlights the inclusion of clone-themed minifigures, enhancing play value. | Excessive reliance on stickers for detailing, which detracts from the build quality. | | Features such as flick fire missiles and adjustable spring-loaded shooters add to the set's playability. | The price is considered high for the 262 piece count, especially given the modest build features. | | The tank design supports multiple figures, increasing its play options. | Front gate misalignment and shiny aesthetic are cited as visually unappealing. | | A fun and accessible building experience for children, encouraging skill development and parent-child bonding. | Complaints about the lack of a commander or more significant characters for added value. | | Mace Windu's arm printing and the design of the new clones are particularly well-received. | Some parts fall off frequently during play, impacting durability. | | Smooth movement on hard surfaces due to well-designed wheels. | The build experience described as mediocre and not particularly memorable. | | The set is recommended for fans of the Clone Wars series. | | ## Last Seen Prices *Each price is the last one ShopSavvy observed, on 2025-01-06;
