## Verdict

While the Hoover High Performance Swivel XL Pet Upright Vacuum Cleaner boasts impressive suction power and ease of maneuverability, numerous design and durability concerns detract from its appeal. Frequent belt issues, fragile components, and poor customer support suggest it may not be the most reliable option. For those primarily looking for robust suction, this vacuum can initially perform well but may not stand the test of time. Consider exploring more durable alternatives if long-term reliability is a priority.

**Top pro:** Excellent suction power, effectively tackles pet hair on carpets.
**Top con:** The vacuum has a tendency for the roller to rotate while using the attachment hose, potentially causing carpet damage.
