## Verdict

The Honeywell 42136 Universal Remote Ceiling Fan Light Remote Control is straightforward to install and offers useful functions like dimming. However, the remote's design has usability issues, such as the lack of a backlight and holder mount, and it requires precise pointing to work efficiently. If these are potential dealbreakers, it might be worth considering other options that can offer these functionalities more seamlessly.

**Top pro:** Easy to install, meaning you'll have your fan up and running with minimal fuss.
**Top con:** No holder mount is included, which 20% of reviewers found inconvenient.
