The Google Nest Cam Outdoor (Wired, 2nd Gen) is a solid step up from its predecessor, delivering sharper 2K video, smarter detection, and a more reliable wired connection. Its seamless integration with Google Home and enhanced alert system make it a great choice if you want peace of mind for your outdoor security. However, if you’re not a fan of the Google Home app or want less fuss with occasional false alerts, you might want to keep an eye on updates or consider alternatives. Overall, this camera offers strong performance and value for anyone committed to the Google ecosystem.

**Top pro:** Significantly improved 2K video clarity and wider field of vision compared to the original Nest Cam Outdoor.
**Top con:** Some users find the Google Home app difficult or unintuitive to use compared to the older Nest app.
