# TLDR Review: Goodyear Assurance Finesse Tire P235/60R18 *Published: 2025-01-09 | Updated: 2024-12-26 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/reviews-tldr/goodyear-assurance-finesse-tire-p23560r18* --- ## Verdict While the Goodyear Assurance Finesse All Season Tire offers excellent value and a comfortable ride ideal for certain CUVs and SUVs, there are recurring concerns around premature wear and handling, especially in adverse conditions. If longevity and all-weather performance are crucial for your needs, it may be worthwhile to explore alternative tire options or ensure a thorough check of warranty coverage to address potential issues. **Top pro:** Excellent value for the price, especially compared to local tire shops. **Top con:** Tires have shown significant wear much earlier than expected, often well before 65,000 miles. ## Product: Goodyear Assurance Finesse Tire P235/60R18 **Brand:** ‎Goodyear [Compare prices and price history on ShopSavvy](https://shopsavvy.com/products/goodyear-assurance-finesse-tire-p23560r18) ## Pros - Excellent value for the price, especially compared to local tire shops. - Historically, Goodyear is a reliable brand known for durability, with some models lasting 50,000 miles or more. - Comfortable ride quality that's expected to improve as the tire breaks in. - Tread quality is reportedly good, and the tires are perfectly balanced. - Perfect fit for vehicles like the Lexus NX. ## Cons - Tires have shown significant wear much earlier than expected, often well before 65,000 miles. - Numerous reports of rapid wear within a much shorter mileage, such as 10,000 miles. - Noise issues initially perceived, though may diminish as tires settle. - Poor handling, compared to 'a donkey on roller skates,' with inadequate sidewall stiffness and lateral stability. - Poor performance in snow, mud, and wet conditions, with issues in traction control and grip. - Negative experiences with retailers like Walmart in relation to service and assistance. ## Pros vs Cons at a Glance | Pros | Cons | |------|------| | Excellent value for the price, especially compared to local tire shops. | Tires have shown significant wear much earlier than expected, often well before 65,000 miles. | | Historically, Goodyear is a reliable brand known for durability, with some models lasting 50,000 miles or more. | Numerous reports of rapid wear within a much shorter mileage, such as 10,000 miles. | | Comfortable ride quality that's expected to improve as the tire breaks in. | Noise issues initially perceived, though may diminish as tires settle. | | Tread quality is reportedly good, and the tires are perfectly balanced. | Poor handling, compared to 'a donkey on roller skates,' with inadequate sidewall stiffness and lateral stability. | | Perfect fit for vehicles like the Lexus NX. | Poor performance in snow, mud, and wet conditions, with issues in traction control and grip. | | | Negative experiences with retailers like Walmart in relation to service and assistance. | ## Last Seen Prices *Each price is the last one ShopSavvy observed, on 2024-12-26;
