## Verdict

The Fiskars X7 Hatchet offers a lightweight and compact option for campers and outdoor enthusiasts looking for a well-balanced tool at a great price. However, users should be prepared to sharpen the blade upon receipt, and the relatively soft metal may be prone to chipping, especially if it makes contact with stone or other hard surfaces. If weight and durability are major concerns, consider whether this hatchet aligns with your needs.

**Top pro:** Great value for the price, making it an excellent choice for those on a budget.
**Top con:** Blade arrives dull from the factory, requiring sharpening before use.
