# TLDR Review: Exo Terra Night-Glo Lamp, 50-Watt *Published: 2024-06-27 | Updated: 2024-12-04 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/reviews-tldr/exo-terra-night-glo-lamp-50-watt* --- ## Verdict The Exo Terra Night-Glo Moonlight A19 Lamp, 50-Watt is a generally efficient and user-favored choice for small pets and reptiles, with excellent lighting and warmth qualities. However, its inconsistency in durability may require backup solutions or alternative products if longevity is a top priority. While ideal for smaller tanks, it may not be suitable for larger habitats or pets. Despite some shortcomings in durability, it remains a trusted option for maintaining comfortable environments for reptiles. **Top pro:** Functions exactly as advertised. **Top con:** Durability may be an issue with some lamps burning out after a few months. ## Product: Exo Terra Night-Glo Lamp, 50-Watt **Brand:** Exo Terra [Compare prices and price history on ShopSavvy](https://shopsavvy.com/products/exo-terra-night-glo-lamp-50-watt) ## Pros - Functions exactly as advertised. - Provides good lighting and enhances appearance of snakes. - Softer light is easier on human eyes compared to traditional red bulbs. - Produces warm, even heat suitable for leopard geckos and tarantulas. - Ideal for cooler nights and winter days. - Gentle radiant heat prevents overheating of the enclosure. - Long-lasting with some bulbs lasting about 2 years. - Thermostat-controlled operation for convenience and consistency. - Reliable performance with daily use. - Minimal disruption to nocturnal behaviors of snakes. ## Cons - Durability may be an issue with some lamps burning out after a few months. - Inconsistent performance;
