## Verdict

The Dyson V8 Origin Extra showcases impressive suction power and efficient cleaning capabilities, particularly on pet hair and carpet, thanks to its rubber brush rollers. While it performs well under most lighting conditions and requires minimal manual intervention, its inability to function in complete darkness and relatively shorter battery life may require some adaptation in usage. Techniques for optimal scheduling might be necessary to maximize performance, but overall, it stands out as a powerful cleaning tool with added connectivity features.

**Top pro:** Suction power is strong, comparable to or better than other brands tested.
**Top con:** Not capable of operating in complete darkness without smart lights.
