# TLDR Review: Duraflame Firelog 2.5 lb (6 Pack) *Published: 2025-01-28 | Updated: 2024-12-28 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/reviews-tldr/duraflame-firelog-2.5-lb-(6-pack)* --- ## Verdict The Duraflame Firelogs are a convenient option for those who want a quick and easy fire without the hassle of kindling, often providing up to 3 hours of burn time as advertised. However, some users have reported issues with excessive smoke and a chemical smell, with newer logs not lasting as long as expected. If you prioritize minimal smoke and longevity, you might want to explore other fire log options. This product is best suited for those seeking mess-free fires for brief enjoyment, although be cautious about potential smoke issues in enclosed spaces. **Top pro:** Dependably effective for starting wood fires every night. **Top con:** The new logs only last about 2 hours at most, which is disappointing. ## Product: Duraflame Firelog 2.5 lb (6 Pack) **Brand:** Duraflame [Compare prices and price history on ShopSavvy](https://shopsavvy.com/products/duraflame-firelog-2.5-lb-%286-pack%29) ## Pros - Dependably effective for starting wood fires every night. - Eliminates the need for kindling, providing instant results. - Appreciated for its convenience and mess-free usage. - Typically lasts around 3 hours as advertised when using the gold logs. - The logs work effectively and light easily. - They have a pleasing appearance. ## Cons - The new logs only last about 2 hours at most, which is disappointing. - Produces excessive smoke when burned, leading to an unpleasant smell. - Product produces excessive black smoke with a burnt plastic smell. - Experience resulted in feeling as though money was wasted;
