## Verdict

The DJI RC Remote Controller is a user-friendly, lightweight option offering significant convenience by eliminating the need for a phone. Its simple setup, battery life, and responsive handling make it particularly appealing for new drone pilots. However, potential buyers should be aware of issues with input lag, limited app compatibility, and screen brightness under intense sunlight. If mapping convenience is crucial, a GPS-enabled tablet may be required for better flight preparation. Overall, the DJI RC strives to enhance the flying experience, although it doesn't completely meet the high standards expected from DJI.

**Top pro:** Flying a drone without a phone is more convenient.
**Top con:** Lacks compatibility with third-party apps, relying solely on DJI Fly.
