## Verdict

The DEWALT 20V MAX XR Cut Off Tool is a compact and well-constructed tool that offers ease of use and excels at cutting through tough materials like plaster. However, potential buyers should be aware of some user-reported issues, including motor problems and safety concerns. While it's a step up from air tools, the tool might require some careful handling to avoid pitfalls. Overall, if you prioritize convenience and build quality but can manage the occasional hiccup, this tool may serve you well.

**Top pro:** Compact and easy to use
**Top con:** Motor problems
