# TLDR Review: Dewalt DCPW1000B Power Cleaner *Published: 2025-01-31 | Updated: 2024-12-29 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/reviews-tldr/dewalt-dcpw1000b-power-cleaner* --- ## Verdict The Dewalt DCPW1000B is a versatile and high-performing power cleaner but suffers from quality and design issues, such as the cheap plastic coupler and misleading replacement of metal parts with plastic. It's considered overpriced given these compromises, and some reviewers doubt the product's consistency. While it may serve well for those committed to the Dewalt battery ecosystem, alternative options may offer better quality and value for others. **Top pro:** Highly regarded for its versatility and performance, functioning well for its intended use. **Top con:** High-pressure coupler is made of cheap plastic, which leads to connectivity issues and leaks. ## Product: Dewalt DCPW1000B Power Cleaner **Brand:** DEWALT [Compare prices and price history on ShopSavvy](https://shopsavvy.com/products/dewalt-dcpw1000b-power-cleaner) ## Pros - Highly regarded for its versatility and performance, functioning well for its intended use. - Some users reported purchasing the product multiple times, indicating satisfaction. - Functional capability is acknowledged, despite other issues. ## Cons - High-pressure coupler is made of cheap plastic, which leads to connectivity issues and leaks. - Overall quality feels cheap, with a perception of cost-cutting and poor design choices. - Switching from metal to plastic parts, such as the tool release handle, feels misleading. - Loud operation with heavy vibration, contributing to an unpleasant user experience. - Some users received defective units, casting doubt on consistency in quality. - Overpriced relative to its performance and durability compared to expectations. - No belt clip included, with installation screw holes lacking nut inserts. - Packaging issues raised concerns about authenticity and protection during shipping. - Some reviewers preferred alternative brands, like Makita, suggesting this is best for users already invested in Dewalt batteries. ## Pros vs Cons at a Glance | Pros | Cons | |------|------| | Highly regarded for its versatility and performance, functioning well for its intended use. | High-pressure coupler is made of cheap plastic, which leads to connectivity issues and leaks. | | Some users reported purchasing the product multiple times, indicating satisfaction. | Overall quality feels cheap, with a perception of cost-cutting and poor design choices. | | Functional capability is acknowledged, despite other issues. | Switching from metal to plastic parts, such as the tool release handle, feels misleading. | | | Loud operation with heavy vibration, contributing to an unpleasant user experience. | | | Some users received defective units, casting doubt on consistency in quality. | | | Overpriced relative to its performance and durability compared to expectations. | | | No belt clip included, with installation screw holes lacking nut inserts. | | | Packaging issues raised concerns about authenticity and protection during shipping. | | | Some reviewers preferred alternative brands, like Makita, suggesting this is best for users already invested in Dewalt batteries. | ## Last Seen Prices *Each price is the last one ShopSavvy observed, on 2025-01-06;
