# TLDR Review: Crucial P3 Plus 4TB SSD *Published: 2024-08-01 | Updated: 2024-11-29 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/reviews-tldr/crucial-p3-plus-4tb-ssd* --- ## Verdict The Crucial P3 Plus 4TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD offers a significant amount of storage and is simple to install, but it could leave you disappointed if you're chasing top-tier speeds. While the drive provides a noticeable performance boost, keep in mind the potential slowdown after extended use. If software and consistent speed are critical for you, consider weighing other options before making a purchase. **Top pro:** Loads of storage capacity, making it great for large files and backups. **Top con:** Drive slows down after extended use, which was a concern for 20% of reviews. ## Product: Crucial P3 Plus 4TB SSD **Brand:** Crucial [Compare prices and price history on ShopSavvy](https://shopsavvy.com/products/crucial-p3-plus-4tb-ssd) ## Pros - Loads of storage capacity, making it great for large files and backups. - Easy to install, even for those who aren't tech-savvy. - Notable performance improvement noted by some users. ## Cons - Drive slows down after extended use, which was a concern for 20% of reviews. - Not as fast as expected based on advertised speeds. - Software is not well-received, with reports of it being terrible by users. - Some users experienced freezes when the drive was under heavy load. - Compatibility issues noted by a few users. ## Pros vs Cons at a Glance | Pros | Cons | |------|------| | Loads of storage capacity, making it great for large files and backups. | Drive slows down after extended use, which was a concern for 20% of reviews. | | Easy to install, even for those who aren't tech-savvy. | Not as fast as expected based on advertised speeds. | | Notable performance improvement noted by some users. | Software is not well-received, with reports of it being terrible by users. | | | Some users experienced freezes when the drive was under heavy load. | | | Compatibility issues noted by a few users. | ## Last Seen Prices *Each price is the last one ShopSavvy observed, on 2024-11-29;
