## Verdict

The CRAFTSMAN CMXCESM264 jump starter is a dependable, compact, and powerful companion ideal for jump-starting a wide range of gas and diesel engines with great convenience. However, be aware that some units suffer from poor quality control, so purchasing from a retailer with a solid return or warranty policy is advisable. If you want a similar product but with fewer quality complaints, be sure to check out alternatives known for consistent reliability. Overall, this jump starter delivers on portability and power, making it a smart emergency tool for your vehicle or outdoor adventures.

**Top pro:** Reliable for emergency situations, like jump-starting vehicles with dead or weak batteries, including trucks, 4-wheelers, and boats.
**Top con:** Quality control appears inconsistent, with some users reporting the product arrived broken or failed to charge, making it unusable right out of the gate.
