# TLDR Review: Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II Camera (Renewed) *Published: 2024-12-16 | Updated: 2024-12-21 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/reviews-tldr/canon-powershot-g7-x-mark-ii-camera-(renewed)* --- ## Verdict The Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II offers a great balance of features for users looking to step up from cellphone photography without the bulk of a DSLR. It excels in color reproduction, daytime shooting, and is generally user-friendly. However, its bulkier design and minor focus issues may not suit everyone. For users seeking advanced night photography or macro shots, investing in a DSLR might be beneficial. Despite some drawbacks, it provides excellent value and high-quality results, making it a strong choice for those appreciating versatility and convenience. **Top pro:** Excellent color reproduction with vibrant and natural tones. **Top con:** Struggles with autofocus in super low-light conditions. ## Product: Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II Camera (Renewed) **Brand:** Canon [Compare prices and price history on ShopSavvy](https://shopsavvy.com/products/canon-powershot-g7-x-mark-ii-camera-%28renewed%29) ## Pros - Excellent color reproduction with vibrant and natural tones. - Decent zoom capabilities with minimal blurring/distortion. - Impressive battery life, lasting up to two weeks with regular use. - Performs well in daylight with superior autofocus comparable to modern smartphones. - Manual mode allows for effective long exposure photography. - Compact design makes photography discrete and enjoyable. - Customizable buttons for quick and spontaneous shots. - Image sharpness is exceptional, especially for still photography. - Outstanding picture quality that exceeds expectations. - Easy to use, making it accessible for all users. ## Cons - Struggles with autofocus in super low-light conditions. - Slightly bulky compared to other point-and-shoot cameras;
