# TLDR Review: Broan-NuTone ChromaComfort Exhaust Fan *Published: 2024-12-04 | Updated: 2024-12-18 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/reviews-tldr/broan-nutone-chromacomfort-exhaust-fan* --- ## Verdict The Broan-NuTone ChromaComfort exhaust fan offers effective moisture removal and customizable lighting in a stylish package. However, its Bluetooth speaker and app controls are underwhelming and can be frustrating. Otherwise, this fan excels in its primary purpose of ventilation and ambient lighting. **Top pro:** Straightforward installation process, even for beginners, with included cut-out cardboard templates. **Top con:** Speaker lacks volume control and is inaudible over the exhaust fan, making it unusable during showering. ## Product: Broan-NuTone ChromaComfort Exhaust Fan **Brand:** NuTone ## Pros - Straightforward installation process, even for beginners, with included cut-out cardboard templates. - Fits seamlessly into the same size opening as typical old fans, simplifying replacement. - Offers adjustable light settings (3000K, 4000K, 5000K) and customizable color temperatures for different ambiances. - Powerful extraction fan effectively removes moisture from the bathroom. - Features easy-to-replace LED panel light that provides excellent illumination. - Can be installed from below without attic access, enhancing convenience. - Offers user-friendly control options, including a wireless remote and a smartphone app. - Side duct connector is beneficial for limited attic height or crawl space situations. - High-quality construction and stylish brushed nickel finish. - Runs quietly, especially when ducted to the outside. ## Cons - Speaker lacks volume control and is inaudible over the exhaust fan, making it unusable during showering. - Bluetooth connectivity is unreliable, requiring frequent reconnections and difficulties finding a connection. - Fan noise is inconsistent, with an irritating rattling sound. - Light color selection process in the app is cumbersome, cycling through all colors. - Wall switch requires unscrewing for battery changes, which is inconvenient. - Overall construction reflects a lack of practical design, leading to user frustration. - App controls do nothing for the speaker, limiting its functionality. ## Pros vs Cons at a Glance | Pros | Cons | |------|------| | Straightforward installation process, even for beginners, with included cut-out cardboard templates. | Speaker lacks volume control and is inaudible over the exhaust fan, making it unusable during showering. | | Fits seamlessly into the same size opening as typical old fans, simplifying replacement. | Bluetooth connectivity is unreliable, requiring frequent reconnections and difficulties finding a connection. | | Offers adjustable light settings (3000K, 4000K, 5000K) and customizable color temperatures for different ambiances. | Fan noise is inconsistent, with an irritating rattling sound. | | Powerful extraction fan effectively removes moisture from the bathroom. | Light color selection process in the app is cumbersome, cycling through all colors. | | Features easy-to-replace LED panel light that provides excellent illumination. | Wall switch requires unscrewing for battery changes, which is inconvenient. | | Can be installed from below without attic access, enhancing convenience. | Overall construction reflects a lack of practical design, leading to user frustration. | | Offers user-friendly control options, including a wireless remote and a smartphone app. | App controls do nothing for the speaker, limiting its functionality. | | Side duct connector is beneficial for limited attic height or crawl space situations. | | | High-quality construction and stylish brushed nickel finish. | | | Runs quietly, especially when ducted to the outside. | | ## Last Seen Prices *Each price is the last one ShopSavvy observed, between 2024-12-18 and 2026-10-14;
