# Worx WG309 Chainsaw & Pole Saw *Published: 2025-05-01 | Updated: 2025-05-01 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/worx-wg309-chainsaw-and-pole-saw* --- **Brand:** Worx **Price Range:** $92 - $210.65 across 39 retailers ## Pros - Efficiently functions as both a chainsaw and pole saw. - Able to cut branches and trees up to 5 inches in diameter. - The chain is easy to readjust and tension, adding convenience. - Versatile reach of 10 feet, with overall reach up to 13 feet. - Provides good power for a 10-amp motor, suitable for small to medium-sized tasks. - Lightweight and user-friendly, even with minimal experience. - Quick cutting compared to manual alternatives, efficiently cuts through 4-inch limbs. - Oil consumption is efficient, requiring minimal oil refills. - Chain adjustment and oil fill are easily accessible for hassle-free operation. - Makes trimming large branches on trees effortless. ## Cons - Reports of the motor failing due to overheating and plastic component melting. - Tool is front-heavy and challenging for extended overhead use, causing arm fatigue. - The drive sprocket's weak design combines metal and plastic, leading to durability issues. - Experiences with chain popping off occasionally. - Some users note frustration with the flawed drive mechanism and replacing the drive sprocket. - Overheats quickly under continuous use, leading to motor smoking and failure. - Limited usability in wet conditions. - Awkward handling and top-heavy nature when fully extended suggest some strength is necessary. ##
