It's great for smaller homes and offers several convenient features like network management options and Alexa integration. However, it may not be suitable for very large homes or users with high-speed, demanding internet needs, as its performance may not measure up to higher-end models like the Netgear Orbi. ## Pros - Offers easy setup with detailed instructions, perfect for non-tech-savvy users. - Noticeably faster Wi-Fi speeds, especially with Wi-Fi 6 devices, reducing buffering during streaming. - Lightweight and integrates well with Alexa for basic voice controls. - Users experienced significant improvements in connectivity and speed, particularly for devices like Echo Dots. - Provides multiple network management options, allowing for separate SSIDs and hiding WiFi networks. - Enhanced network administration capabilities and offers decent Wi-Fi coverage for smaller homes. - Supports advanced Wi-Fi 6 features such as OFDMA, beamforming, and supports networks for guest and IoT devices. - Low power consumption makes it an efficient choice for day-to-day use. - Easy management of network clients, including blocking/unblocking devices without passwords. - Recommended for resolving connectivity problems previously encountered with other routers like Spectrum. ## Cons - Initial setup may be tricky, especially with automatic reconnections to older networks. - The performance is weaker compared to some competitors like Netgear Orbi, with slightly lower speeds and higher latency. - May not be ideal for very large homes; a mesh network might be more suitable. - Performance may degrade with more than 15 connected devices. - Some features like QoS and the web interface may have usability issues or outdated elements. - Experienced instances of unpredictable performance and even malfunction within a year. - Weakens signal strength significantly outside the house, not suitable for outdoor areas like driveways. - Suitable mainly as a mid-range option, possibly inadequate for heavy users or ultra-high speed connections. ## Specifications | Attribute | Value | |-----------|-------| | model | AX1800 | | mpn | Archer AX21 | | sku | TP-Link AX1800 | | weight | light | | color | black | | brand | TP-Link | | manufacturer | TP-Link | | networkStandards | 802.11ax | | wifiStandards | Wi-Fi 6 | | maxSpeed | 1800 Mbps | | band | Dual Band | | voiceControl | Alexa | | technicalSupport | 24/7 | | warranty | 2 years | | operatingSystemsCompatibility | Works with all internet service providers | ## Professional Reviews -
