## Expert Summary

This book seems like a mixed bag. While adored by fans of Riordan and celebrated for its inclusion and familiar settings, it might not captivate everyone like its predecessors. Before diving in, consider if you're up for a bit of agenda or if you're simply in it for the love of Percy Jackson. Maybe give the blurb a read to see if it tickles your fancy.

## Pros
- - Highly recommended for fans of the author and for those who have enjoyed other Percy Jackson books, making it a comfortable dive back into a familiar world.
- - Described as 'fantastic' and one of the author's best works yet, so buckle up for a splendid read.
- - The solid story with the expected elements from Riordan promises an enjoyable reading experience, featuring a love story and adventure to keep you hooked.
- - Ideal as a gift for readers of all ages - whether it's for your 20-year-old granddaughter or your book club buddy, everyone's in for a treat.
- - The inclusion of LGBTQ+ content and representation is celebrated, making it a progressive addition to the Percy Jackson world.

## Cons
- - Lacks the page-turning feel of Riordan's prior works, so you might not want to cancel your weekend plans for this one.
- - Agenda pushing, particularly regarding gender and quotes like 'that's such archaic thinking' may ruffle some feathers - not everyone's cup of tea.
- - While a solid addition to the Percy Jackson universe, it does not meet the high expectations set by previous experiences, leaving some fans wanting.
- - Although the book is recommended for nearly everyone, the clear promotion of certain views may not appeal to all readers.
