# TCL 85-inch QM8K Series TV *Published: 2026-02-21 | Updated: 2026-02-21 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/tcl-85-inch-qm8k-series-tv* --- **Brand:** TCL **Price Range:** $1098 - $3499.99 across 13 retailers ## Pros - Picture quality is excellent, delivering deep, detailed blacks, vibrant colors, and impressive brightness, especially with HDR and 4K Blu-ray content. - Mini-LED technology provides strong color accuracy and brightness with minimal halo effect. - Performs very well for gaming thanks to a fast refresh rate (144hz) and variable refresh rate support up to 288hz, plus quick response times. - The smart TV system includes a wide selection of apps and streaming is generally smooth, with a user-friendly Google TV interface. - Anti-glare screen reduces reflections, improving viewing comfort in moderate lighting. - Sleek no bezel design gives it a modern, stylish appearance from the front. - Onboard speakers, including Bang & Olufsen tuned sound in some units, deliver better-than-average audio quality with clear dialogue and good bass. - Remote is back-lit, metallic, sturdy, and easy to use, controlling both audio and visual functions seamlessly. - Offers extensive picture and sound customization options, allowing users to fine-tune their viewing experience. - Very good value for an 85-inch 4K Mini-LED TV with advanced features like QLED and AI processing, often priced under $1000. ## Cons - The operating system can be slow or occasionally freeze when launching or switching apps, impacting the smoothness of the Google TV experience. - Viewing angles are poor, leading to noticeable loss in brightness and color fidelity when not viewed head-on. - Glossy screen can produce distracting reflections in very bright rooms. - Some users report occasional dimming issues or brightness inconsistencies during certain scenes or games, potentially fixable with firmware updates. - The overall build is somewhat bulky when viewed from the side and back, which may complicate wall mounting or certain room setups. - Despite better internal speakers than some competitors, audio quality may still leave audiophiles wanting additional external soundbars or subwoofers for a fuller experience. - Screen tearing during very fast motion is sometimes noticed, slightly affecting immersion during gaming or action sequences. - Extended warranty options are considered expensive relative to the TV’s price point. ## Last Seen Prices | Retailer | Price | Availability | Last seen | Store's standard terms | |----------|-------|-------------|-----------|------------------------| | [retailers/viglink](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/09335c45-7fd8-d2c5-fcdd-1253b80106f9/offers/1476b714-fef3-36f3-eb21-65929c617f6e?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $1098.00 | In Stock | 2026-03-11 (may have changed) | | | [retailers/walmart](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/09335c45-7fd8-d2c5-fcdd-1253b80106f9/offers/34b98103-831a-ca5b-cf07-b767961a53f4?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $1797.99 | In Stock | 2025-11-28 (may have changed) | 90-day returns (in store too) | | [retailers/pcrichard](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/09335c45-7fd8-d2c5-fcdd-1253b80106f9/offers/b0e72d23-15e9-b2f9-398b-c434ddd2b54b?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $1797.99 | In Stock | 2025-11-28 (may have changed) | | | [retailers/videoandaudiocenter](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/09335c45-7fd8-d2c5-fcdd-1253b80106f9/offers/7d389cce-f86a-34ca-cbe4-0f96dd032273?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $1799.99 | In Stock | 2025-11-28 (may have changed) | | | [retailers/macys](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/09335c45-7fd8-d2c5-fcdd-1253b80106f9/offers/69a2b974-6c52-cdbb-d64f-ff18d42f83d2?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $1799.99 | In Stock | 2025-11-28 (may have changed) | 30-day returns (in store too) · free shipping on $25+ | | [retailers/rcwilley](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/09335c45-7fd8-d2c5-fcdd-1253b80106f9/offers/bd613ed4-705a-1052-7be5-4c0e12d974dd?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $1799.99 | In Stock | 2025-11-28 (may have changed) | | | [retailers/brandsmartusa](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/09335c45-7fd8-d2c5-fcdd-1253b80106f9/offers/265a9e94-7a11-4a17-abd6-41c4bf001a51?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $1799.99 | In Stock | 2025-11-28 (may have changed) | | | [retailers/abt](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/09335c45-7fd8-d2c5-fcdd-1253b80106f9/offers/f7b48f95-679f-0f15-39d2-6d70ae4b9398?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $1799.99 | In Stock | 2025-11-28 (may have changed) | 30-day returns (in store too) | | [retailers/amazon](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/09335c45-7fd8-d2c5-fcdd-1253b80106f9/offers/d9d99582-57ab-97f3-437e-91ebfee5f653?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $2197.97 | In Stock | 2026-03-02 (may have changed) | | | [retailers/bestbuy](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/09335c45-7fd8-d2c5-fcdd-1253b80106f9/offers/a2397125-8b05-b6a5-f698-55777806a8ca?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $2499.99 | In Stock | 2026-03-08 (may have changed) | 15-day returns (in store too) · free return shipping · free shipping on $35+ | | [retailers/queencityonline](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/09335c45-7fd8-d2c5-fcdd-1253b80106f9/offers/8cd580ae-a677-a183-578d-b197762034d8?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $3499.99 | In Stock | 2025-11-28 (may have changed) | | *Store terms are each retailer's standard return and shipping policy from ShopSavvy's retailer research; some products and categories differ, so check with the store before buying.* [See every retailer and the full price history on ShopSavvy](https://shopsavvy.com/products/tcl-85-inch-qm8k-series-tv) --- *About this page: ShopSavvy compares prices across thousands of retailers, aggregates expert and user reviews, and tracks price history to help you make informed buying decisions.
