Works well in rural areas when paired with a rooftop antenna for better signal strength. - Supports browsing channels while watching a show, with reliable pause and fast-forward features. - Offers a free channel guide and the option to expand recording space using USB. - Highly recommended for those interested in cord-cutting, saving users over $2,000 annually compared to traditional cable. - Capable of recording multiple channels simultaneously with good reception, even capturing approximately 30 channels from a distance of 50 miles from transmitters. - Impressive video quality, efficiently utilizing storage space without compromising clearness, even in weaker signal conditions. - Simple setup process supported by a user-friendly app that helps with antenna positioning and channel scanning. - Supports 4 simultaneous OTA recordings and streaming, with clear indicators for scheduling conflicts. - Provides a large-capacity external storage option, enhancing recording availability for future viewing. - Delivers a satisfactory performance with good integration on platforms like Fire TV and Chromecast. ## Cons - The absence of an Apple TV app is a major drawback for Apple ecosystem users, with 30% of reviews highlighting this issue. - Initial setup may pose challenges, especially for Samsung and LG TV users, and the app may crash over prolonged use. - Customer service has been criticized for lengthy response times, sometimes exceeding a day for callbacks. - Some users noted that the built-in antenna amplifier could actually reduce channel scan effectiveness due to interference. - Compatibility issues with Roku’s user interface have made it the least favorable platform for this device. - The product feels like it was rushed to market, needing improvements for long-term reliability. - Not ATSC 3.0 compatible, which might limit future-proofing for some users. - Reports of software bugs suggesting a need for software stability improvements. - Limited ability to record certain channels due to restrictions, affecting overall functionality. ## Specifications | Attribute | Value | |-----------|-------| | model | Tablo 4th Gen 4-Tuner | | type | Over-The-Air (OTA) DVR | | antennaCompatibility | Pairs with any TV antenna | | recordingCapacity | 50+ Hours | | installation | Connect to home network and an antenna | | inputSignalRange | 50 miles | | appAvailability | Not available for Apple TV yet | | storageSupport | External USB drive support | | productWeight | unknown | | color | unknown | | brand | Tablo | | manufacturer | Nuvyyo Inc | | powerSupply | Included | | ethernetCable | Included | ## Last Seen Prices | Retailer | Price | Availability | Last seen | Store's standard terms | |----------|-------|-------------|-----------|------------------------| | [retailers/workingperson](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/08419d75-2e57-a967-062f-49bfdf499b26/offers/b5832f49-20b1-1f15-96db-fc22e8a9657f?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $54.99 | In Stock | 2025-10-23 (may have changed) | | | [retailers/greatlakesworkwear](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/08419d75-2e57-a967-062f-49bfdf499b26/offers/9abc834c-794c-8261-fc07-49fc24b662b4?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $54.99 | In Stock | 2025-10-23 (may have changed) | | | [retailers/theisens](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/08419d75-2e57-a967-062f-49bfdf499b26/offers/825ef020-ee31-6525-18ba-cf2e83014d90?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $54.99 | In Stock | 2025-10-23 (may have changed) | | | [Vermont Gear -
