## Pros
- Delivers the best graphics and frame rates currently available on PlayStation, especially in PS5 Pro Enhanced titles.
- PSSR upscaling can produce sharper, near-native-4K visuals while maintaining smoother performance.
- Ray tracing, reflections, lighting, water, hair, and environmental detail receive noticeable improvements in supported games.
- Compatible titles such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Ratchet & Clank, The Last of Us, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Stellar Blade, Horizon, and Demon’s Souls show some of the clearest gains.
- Higher and more stable frame rates are often more noticeable during gameplay, with some compatible games supporting 60 fps or higher.
- The 2TB SSD provides substantially more storage, and internal M.2 expansion is supported.
- Game Boost can improve select non-enhanced PS5 and PS4 games by stabilizing resolution or frame rates.
- Runs quietly and has a refined design with two front USB-C ports.
- Setup, data migration, and transferring games or saves are generally straightforward.
- Wi‑Fi 7, HDMI 2.1, and support for up to 4K/120Hz suit modern high-end displays.

## Cons
- The price is steep for a mid-generation upgrade, especially after adding missing accessories.
- There is no built-in disc drive; physical games and 4K Blu-ray playback require the optional drive.
- The vertical stand is sold separately.
- Improvements vary substantially by game, and non-optimized titles may look only slightly better than on a standard PS5.
- The upgrade is evolutionary rather than revolutionary and does not fundamentally change how games play.
- Visual differences can be subtle from normal sofa distance and are most apparent on large 4K/120Hz displays or gaming monitors.
- Loading times improve, but usually only modestly.
- Some Pro features are implemented inconsistently, and not every showcase mode uses PSSR.
- The standard DualSense controllers are excellent, but their buttons may feel less crisp than those on some special-edition models.
- Owners of a standard PS5 with a satisfactory TV may find the premium difficult to justify.
