# Samsung Fridge Water Filter DA97-17376B *Published: 2024-12-27 | Updated: 2025-02-14 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/samsung-fridge-water-filter-da97-17376b* --- **Brand:** SAMSUNG **Price Range:** $22 - $249.99 across 21 retailers ## Pros - Replacement filter installation is straightforward and easy when instructions are followed properly. - It is important to turn off the water supply and activate the water dispenser to relieve pressure before installation. - Detailed following of instructions ensures a successful installation without leaks. - There is an emphasis on running water for 6 minutes post-installation to clear out air. ## Cons - The water filter has been ineffective in providing clean water, showing no difference in quality compared to faucet water. - Installation has been problematic for many, with reports of leaks from the plunger/nozzle area, leading to severe damage. - Compatibility issues with the filter cause failure in the water, auto fill pitcher, and ice maker functions. - Customer service has been unhelpful, attributing the issues to third-party manufacturers. - Instructions are deemed unclear, with calls for better organization and clarity by grouping languages together. - Multiple negative experiences with Samsung products contribute to a strong intention to avoid the brand in the future. - Environmental concerns are mentioned due to a lack of recycling guidance for the used filters. ## Specifications | Attribute | Value | |-----------|-------| | model | HAF-QIN/EXP | | mpn | DA97-17376B | | brand | Samsung | | productType | Water Filter | | intendedFor | Refrigerator/freezer | | compliantStandards | NSF | | filterType | Water | | filterLife | 6 months | | filterLifeCapacity | 300.1 gal | | weight | 0.62 lbs | | shippingWeight | 0.77 lbs | | title | Samsung HAF-QIN Refrigerator Water Filter | | material | Carbon Fiber | | itemWeight | 1.92 ounces | | externalTestingCertification | NSF | | productBenefits | Reduces Chlorine | | euSparePartAvailabilityDuration | 20 Years | ## About This Product Samsung water filters are tested and certified by NSF International, a non-profit non-governmental organisation dedicated to public health, safety and environmental protection.
