**Brand:** Samsung
**Price Range:** $517.95 - $899.99 across 9 retailers

## Pros
- Quick and easy setup, especially with the Samsung SmartThings app that allows remote control without the physical remote.
- Responsive smart TV interface, faster and more customizable than similarly priced FireTV models.
- Excellent 4K display with bright, clear, and vibrant colors that hold up well even in well-lit rooms.
- Built-in sound is surprisingly good—loud and clear without distorting dialogue, suitable for everyday use.
- Lightweight design makes it easy to mount or place on a stand, with sturdy feet ensuring stability without wall mounting.
- Includes three HDMI ports, with HDMI1 supporting eARC and some ports designed for flush mounting.
- Large app selection covering major streaming services like Plex; while Jellyfin is missing, most popular apps are available.
- Built-in Alexa and free content options add convenience and flexibility.
- Crystal Processor 4K offers fast app launch times and smooth overall performance.
- Knox Security integration adds a layer of device protection.

## Cons
- Setup requires the Samsung SmartThings app with no easy bypass option, which can be frustrating or inconvenient for some users.
- Samsung's default ad-filled streaming and tracking features take up to 15 days to fully disable through settings.
- USB port offers limited power output and only functions when the TV is powered on, limiting its use for some devices.
- The 100x100 VESA mount size is larger than necessary, possibly requiring adapters for popular mounts.
- Compared to Android TV or Roku devices, this TV lacks certain open-source features and flexibility in app customization.
- May require re-adding to Home Assistant after software updates, disrupting any home automation setups.
- Remote control is non-backlit, making it difficult to use in dark environments.
- No custom preset picture settings for dark or night viewing conditions.
- The setup process has multiple steps, and initial updates can be time-consuming, which might challenge less tech-savvy users.
