# Reese Towpower Ball Mount *Published: 2026-04-08 | Updated: 2026-04-08 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/reese-towpower-ball-mount* --- **Brand:** Reese Towpower **Price Range:** $13.99 - $36 across 42 retailers ## Pros - Known for reliable and consistent quality from a trusted brand like Reese Towpower. - The ball mount and interlocking 2” ball are well made, sturdy, and deliver durable performance suitable for towing utility trailers. - Fits perfectly on various vehicles, including specific models like the 2004 Lincoln Aviator, with no fitment issues. - Includes the Reese Interlock system, which provides a secure attachment during use. - Offers versatility with a 2.5-inch drop on one side and a 2-inch rise when flipped over, making it adaptable to different towing setups. - Approximately 7 inches in length, providing a good balance of clearance and reach. - Performs consistently as expected by users who rely on it for regular towing needs. ## Cons - The included hitch pin is the wrong size: the ball mount requires a ½” pin, but it comes with a 5/8” pin, forcing buyers to source the correct pin separately. - The product packaging and recommendations incorrectly suggest a 5/8” pin and a 1-inch ball hole, while the actual ball hole diameter is 3/4 inch, leading to confusion and additional purchases. - Stickers on the mount are very difficult to remove due to strong adhesive, which can be annoying for users wanting a clean look. - The product is manufactured in China, which may feel surprising or off-putting for some buyers given Reese’s traditional American brand image. - Durability over long-term exposure and heavy use is uncertain, though initial impressions suggest it is sturdy. ##
