## Pros
- Delivers a broad range of overdrive, distortion, and fuzz tones, especially effective with clean amp setups
- Produces rich harmonics and octave notes, adding depth and character at various settings
- Simple yet powerful three-control interface that’s intuitive and smooth to operate
- Captures iconic fuzz sounds inspired by classics like Fuzz Face, Tone Bender, and Big Muff
- Perfect for achieving classic 90s grunge tones reminiscent of Nirvana’s signature sound
- Maintains the original guitar tone’s transparency, allowing natural expression through guitar volume and tone controls
- Offers significantly more versatility and better sound quality than many traditional distortion pedals, including older models like the Boss DS-1
- Robust metal build with a durable switch designed for long-term, on-stage use
- Provides nuanced, warm fuzz with enhanced bottom end and a sweet tonal character rather than harshness
- Highly recommended over cheaper copies and some boutique versions for consistent, satisfying distortion

## Cons
- Larger size might make it less convenient for small pedalboards, though still manageable alongside pedals like a wah
- Slight tonal differences compared to the original vintage RAT, which might not appeal to purists seeking exact replication
- The distortion character is distinct from Tube Screamer-style pedals, lacking the midrange hump some players prefer
- No onboard features beyond the classic three controls, which could limit tonal tweaking for some users
- Germanium clipping diodes provide a classic fuzz flavor, but those expecting modern high-gain distortion might find it less aggressive

## About This Product

The beauty of the RAT 2 lies in its versatility. Used as a primary distortion, it excels at arena rock rhythm tones and soaring leads. Do you have a powerful amp with too much headroom for the gig? The RAT 2 nails that sweet spot where a tube amp goes from sparkly clean to warm overdrive. Maybe you already love your amp's distortion. Use the RAT 2 as a boost for solos and get the extra kick you need. For any further queries please contact Pro Co's Technical Assistance (800) 467-2726 x1206 / Customer Service (800) 467-2726 x1123 / Quality Assurance (800) 467-2726 x2306.
