# PNY Elite-X microSD 256GB *Published: 2025-06-23 | Updated: 2025-07-18 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/pny-elite-x-microsd-256gb* --- **Brand:** PNY **Price Range:** $17.99 - $111.47 across 38 retailers ## Pros - Compatible with devices like the Samsung Galaxy S10E and Wyze cameras, recognized immediately and functions as primary storage for video clips. - Handles various file operations like copying and moving efficiently. - Tests with SD card testers show excellent performance, no failures reported. - Users report no issues in current usage, with plans to purchase again and highly recommending it to others. - Good performance and reliability for its price point, considered a great memory capacity value. - The PNY brand is well-known and reliable, praised for quality, and manufactured in Taiwan ensuring good quality standards. - Provides ample storage space, essential for digital photography and backing up camera memory cards. ## Cons - Reliability issues with some cards failing during testing, such as a card failing during a single run of H2TestW. - Users encountered lower than advertised speed performances, particularly with write speeds lagging behind read speeds. - Severe issues reported with some cards requiring reformatting, and capacity not being fully recognized afterward. - Manufacturer quality control concerns, especially on lower-cost options, emphasizing the need for testing with utilities like H2TestW. - Speed performance can be device-dependent, with limitations potentially due to device port capabilities needing UHS-I support. ##
