- Range over the last 12 months: $398.34 (The Home Depot, Jan 28, 2026) to $963.80 (retailers/amazon, Jan 5, 2026).
- Based on 37 recorded prices since Nov 5, 2025 for offers sold by these retailers themselves (not marketplace sellers). Summary as of Oct 12, 2026.

## Pros
- Heats water efficiently and has a solid lifespan when not affected by issues, with some users reporting previous models lasting up to 12 years.
- The 40-gallon capacity combined with a 4500-watt double element setup provides dependable performance for medium household needs.

## Cons
- Significant quality control and packaging issues result in multiple dents and bent parts upon delivery, suggesting poor handling during shipping.
- Several users experienced persistent leaks in the lower heating element within a short time frame (around two and a half years).
- Warranty coverage falls short of expectations; despite a 6-year warranty advertised, some reports indicate only one year of effective warranty support.
- Repairs often require professional electricians and plumbers, adding to the overall cost and inconvenience.
- Customer service and manufacturer support have been described as unsatisfactory and unhelpful.
- Delivery timing can impact the condition of the product due to rough handling, with recommendations to order during milder seasons like spring or fall to reduce damage risk.
