Summary as of Oct 13, 2026. ## Pros - The drink has a fantastic taste when served cold, reminiscent of a chocolate malt. - Best enjoyed cold, especially in warmer weather, making it an ideal breakfast choice. - Offers a tasty chocolate milk flavor that feels indulgent yet includes vitamins. - The malty taste is satisfying and authentic, avoiding overly artificial flavors. - Considered superior to similar products, particularly Quik, which tastes excessively sweet and artificial. - Provides a satisfying alternative for those unable to find chocolate milk locally. - Balances the enjoyment of junk food with added nutritional benefits, without tasting like health food. ## Cons - Tends to harden in humid climates, making it challenging to use. - Heating the drink in the microwave leads to a disappointing flavor, losing the malt and chocolate essence. - No longer has the authentic malt flavor cherished from childhood, now tastes more like regular chocolate milk. - Disappointment is significant for long-time fans due to the change in flavor, attributed to rebranding under Nestle. - More expensive for a smaller quantity than regular Ovaltine. - Higher sodium content compared to regular Ovaltine. ##
