42 retailers ## Pros - Excellent upgrade from older models with modern Bluetooth capability. - Exceptional sound quality, especially with the 5.1 surround sound setup, and up-scaling to 4K without quality loss. - DTS surround sound is notable for superior separation over Dolby Atmos/7.1. - Easy integration with multiple devices and reduced cable clutter with one HDMI connection to the TV. - User-friendly sound option switching via remote control. - Powered front speakers create impressive sound even at low volumes. - Considered one of the best options for the price with excellent performance for home theater use. - Great customer service and support experience, including responsive representatives based in the USA. ## Cons - Requires HDMI connection to a TV for initial setup, which may not be ideal for audio-only setups. - Documentation lacks clarity, especially concerning the necessity of HDMI for setup and configuration. - Recommended external streaming solution (SONOS Connect) is considered obsolete, with poor support for configuration. - Bass quality is lacking, described as poor and unappealing. - Bi-AMP setup sacrifices two channels, limiting audio effects from behind. ## Specifications | Attribute | Value | |-----------|-------| | model | TX-NR6100 | | brand | Onkyo | | color | Black | | type | AV Receiver | | channels | 7.2 | | certification | THX
