**Price Range:** $60.32 - $85.89 across 5 retailers

## Pros
- The automatic touchless lid opens quickly and reliably, promoting a hygienic and hands-free trash disposal experience.
- Sleek stainless steel rectangular design with black trim looks modern and fits well in kitchens or offices.
- Holds a generous 13-gallon capacity, suitable for typical household or office use without frequent emptying.
- Fingerprint-resistant surface keeps the trash can looking clean and polished with minimal effort.
- Lid stays open as long as motion is detected, which helps avoid messes when handling larger trash items.
- The sensor covers a good range (within 10 inches and a 130° angle), making it very responsive to hand movement.
- Bag holder ring securely conceals trash bags, keeping them neat and preventing slipping when pushing down contents.
- Quiet and smooth lid operation prevents annoying noise or abrupt movements.
- Easy to clean stainless steel exterior and well-thought-out sensor hinge design to avoid scuffing nearby surfaces.
- Long-lasting battery life that can hold up to six months of normal daily use, with some users reporting it lasting over a year.

## Cons
- The sensor can be overly sensitive at times, occasionally triggering the lid just by walking nearby, which might be slightly annoying.
- Lid opening/closing mechanism may slow down after about a year of regular use, potentially indicating durability concerns.
- The manual "keep lid open" button requires a reset process that takes a few seconds, which feels a bit unintuitive.
- The lid itself is made of plastic rather than stainless steel, which may disappoint users expecting a full metal finish.
- Some users report the product starting to fail after about two and a half years, suggesting moderate longevity for heavy users.
- While functional, it does not offer standout or advanced features beyond typical sensor-operated trash cans.
- May occasionally open unexpectedly when sensed motion is near, causing slight inconvenience.
- If you prefer simplicity and reliability, a manual lid trash can might be more suitable than an automatic one.

## About This Product

This 13 Gal Stainless Steel touchless trash can is designed and engineered by NINESTARS, the world's first legal patent holder. With its sleek rectangular fingerprint-resistant design, it can be used almost any place, such as the home, office, kitchen, bedroom, dorm room or a kid's room. This durable trash can uses the most advanced sensor technology which can be found in all Ninestars trash cans. Pass your hand or debris within ten inches or a 130° angle from the infrared sensor and the lid will automatically open. The lid will remain open if debris or hand remains within the range of the infrared sensor. Three seconds after your hand moves away from the lid, it will close automatically. Power lasts up to 6 months in normal daily usage. It includes a ring liner to keep trash bag from public view for a neat and clean appearance.
