# McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract *Published: 2026-01-14 | Updated: 2026-01-14 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/mccormick-pure-vanilla-extract* --- **Brand:** McCormick **Price Range:** $6.59 - $95.57 across 27 retailers ## Pros - Delivers a rich, complex vanilla flavor and heavenly aroma without being overpowered by alcohol. - Maintains consistent quality and flavor across different bottles, thanks to a blend of various Madagascar vanilla beans. - Comes in a large 16 fl oz plastic bottle, perfect for frequent bakers or holiday baking needs. - Offers excellent value with product quality that often outperforms pricier alternatives. - Made with all-natural ingredients, free from artificial additives or preservatives. - Packaged in a sturdy bottle with a reliable flip-top lid that stays securely closed. - Provides a strong, authentic vanilla flavor ideal for cookies, cakes, and even ice cream. - Trusted brand with a solid reputation for reliable vanilla extract. - Customer service is responsive and helpful if any issues arise. ## Cons - Vanilla grounds tend to settle at the bottom, so shaking before use is necessary to get consistent flavor. - While flavorful, it doesn’t reach the richness or creaminess of some higher-end organic vanilla extracts. - The taste, while good, is more of a basic standard and may not satisfy those seeking premium, ultra-smooth vanilla extracts. - Contains alcohol, which some may prefer less of, even though it doesn’t overpower the vanilla. - Comes in a large plastic bottle that might be bulky or less visually appealing compared to glass alternatives. ##
