# Manduka Begin Yoga Mat *Published: 2025-02-18 | Updated: 2025-02-18 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/manduka-begin-yoga-mat* --- **Brand:** Manduka **Price Range:** $39.99 - $116.99 across 22 retailers ## Price History - Lowest new price we recorded at major retailers (Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, The Home Depot and Lowes) in the last 90 days: $62.00 at Amazon on Jul 22, 2026. - Range over the last 12 months: $49.30 (Amazon, Jun 23, 2026) to $62.00 (Amazon, Jul 22, 2026). - Based on 5 recorded prices since May 29, 2026 for offers sold by these retailers themselves (not marketplace sellers). Summary as of Oct 13, 2026. ## Pros - Provides a solid, comfortable surface for yoga practice, with surprising cushioning for its thinness. - Doesn’t stretch or roll and stays in place during use, especially on hardwood floors. - Good performance and sustainability, making it relatively budget-friendly. - Visually appealing with attractive colors, though different from the pictures. - Ideal for beginners who are serious about yoga, with improvements over cheaper mats. ## Cons - Some users find the grip insufficient, with hands sliding, particularly in poses like Downward Dog. - Initial slipperiness requires extensive preparation to mitigate, including scrubbing and washing. - Not recommended for use on carpet due to slipping issues. - No built-in closure for storage and lacks a lifetime warranty. - May be too squishy for balance-focused poses and tend to curl at the ends. ##
