# LEGO Star Wars BD-1 Set *Published: 2024-08-07 | Updated: 2024-12-09 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/lego-star-wars-bd-1-set* --- **Brand:** LEGO **Price Range:** $13.5 - $299.99 across 75 retailers ## Pros - The set is a stunning display piece, faithfully representing BD-1’s design from the game. - Utilizes unique building techniques, such as whips used as wires, which enrich the construction experience. - The right 'eye' lighting effect effectively mirrors the in-game lighting for an authentic look. - The set has a cute and appealing design that delights fans. - Clear instructions simplify the building process, making it enjoyable and straightforward for various skill levels. - Offers a rewarding building experience with a high-quality design and finish. - Complements other LEGO Star Wars collections well and is considered a good quality set. - Strong recommendation from users, appealing even after retirement due to its collectible nature. - Light effects such as the holo projector and red, blue side lights enhance the immersive aesthetic. ## Cons - The LED array on the back of the head is a letdown; blue LEDs do not achieve the dynamic game-like effects. - Installation of cables is challenging and sometimes delicate, with issues like tight placement causing breakages. - The overall design is not stable due to a top-heavy head, contributing to a lack of balance. - Limited articulation options due to fixed knees and ankles, reducing posing potential. - Not ideally suited for play, especially for children, being more of a display piece. - Torso lights, while cool, do not match the source material, and installation is seen as frustrating. - Stim container opening limitations impact the play experience. - Several pieces were reportedly missing during assembly, complicating the build. ## About This Product Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor players can relive their epic adventures when they build and display this LEGO Star Wars version of exploration droid BD-1 (75335) for teenagers aged 14+ years old.
