# Krusteaz Gluten Free Pancake Mix *Published: 2024-12-13 | Updated: 2025-02-01 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/krusteaz-gluten-free-pancake-mix* --- **Brand:** Krusteaz **Price Range:** $4.81 - $38.12 across 20 retailers ## Pros - Closely resembles traditional pancakes in taste. - Moist and fluffy texture, surpassing many gluten-free alternatives. - No need for recipe adjustments; works perfectly as is. - Enjoyed by family members without them realizing it's gluten-free. - Versatile mix suitable for a variety of recipes beyond pancakes. - Good alternative for those with potato allergies due to absence of potato starch. - Works well as a flour substitute in recipes like cornbread casserole. - Produces excellent texture in baked goods, such as butterscotch cookies. - Appreciated for its unique ingredients that enhance food quality. ## Cons - Contains sorghum flour, known for a very bitter taste. - Recent batches have left a metallic aftertaste. - Bitterness increases with consumption, affecting the taste of other foods. - Some find the taste particularly challenging, especially for children with gluten allergies. - Bitterness overshadowed the flavor, making it difficult to finish the pancakes. - Suggested formulation change due to taste issues with sorghum flour. - Attempts to mask the bitterness with syrup were not entirely successful. ##
