**Brand:** Kilmat
**Price Range:** $59.99 - $89.87 across 3 retailers

## Pros
- Effectively reduces road noise, vibrations, and exhaust sound, making your ride noticeably quieter.
- Provides excellent thermal insulation due to its foil-faced butyl material.
- Strong adhesive backing that sticks firmly yet allows some repositioning during installation.
- Easy to cut to custom shapes with basic tools like a utility knife for precise fitting.
- Conforms well to curved and irregular surfaces, especially when applied gradually or in layers.
- Thinner and lighter than some competitors, helping keep overall vehicle weight down.
- Application is manageable for beginners, especially when using a seam roller or squeegee to smooth out air bubbles and overlaps.
- Enhances the solid feel and sound insulation of doors and large metal panels.
- No material waste since small scraps can be reused and rolled in.
- Cost-effective alternative compared to higher-priced sound deadening brands.

## Cons
- Foil backing can have sharp edges when cutting or handling, so caution is needed.
- Adhesive is very sticky and can leave residue on tools and clothes, requiring cleaning.
- Material can tear on sharp bends if not applied carefully, sometimes needing layering for best fit.
- Actual coverage may require more than estimated square footage due to overlaps and complex contours.
- Some users find the need to use additional tools like rollers for best adhesion a bit of extra effort.
