# Kaytee Fiesta Parrot Food *Published: 2026-02-15 | Updated: 2026-02-15 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/kaytee-fiesta-parrot-food* --- **Brand:** Kaytee **Price Range:** $16.99 - $889.35 across 59 retailers ## Price History - Lowest new price we recorded at major retailers (Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, The Home Depot and Lowes) in the last 90 days: $18.95 at Amazon on Sep 13, 2026. - Range over the last 12 months: $18.95 (Amazon, Sep 13, 2026) to $19.95 (Amazon, Aug 16, 2026). - Based on 7 recorded prices since May 28, 2026 for offers sold by these retailers themselves (not marketplace sellers). Summary as of Oct 14, 2026. ## Pros - Fresh and high-quality bird food that consistently meets expectations. - Suitable for large parrots like Greenwing Macaws and includes older parrots as well. - Contains a balanced mix of seeds, fruits, veggies, nuts, and colorful vitamin pieces, offering diverse textures and nutritional benefits. - Parrots tend to enjoy this food more than other brands, with some rejecting less natural additives found elsewhere. - Recommended within bird care communities and trusted by avian veterinarians for regular feeding and boarding care. - Buying in bulk saves money, and mixing different varieties can improve diet variety and storage. - Freezing the food for 2-3 days before use helps eliminate pests like larvae and moth eggs. - Easily supplemented with fresh vegetables and fruits daily to keep parrots healthy and content. - Used successfully as a treat option for smaller birds such as cockatiels and conures. ## Cons - Quality issues have occurred where seeds became dirty or potentially harmful, leading to health symptoms in birds; however, quality has since improved. - Contains raw peanuts, which may carry mold toxins and pose serious health risks like Aspergillosis to parrots; avoiding peanuts is advised. - Birdseed moth infestations can happen even when stored in sealed containers, causing hygiene problems. Preventive freezing is recommended but requires extra effort. - Parrots may reject some ingredients or pellets in other brands, making diet consistency a challenge if switching between foods. ## Specifications | Attribute | Value | |-----------|-------| | productName | Kaytee Fiesta Parrot Food | | weight | 4.5 lb | | brand | Kaytee | | description | Balanced seed and nutrient option for parrots, contains fruit, veggies, nuts, and seeds. | | recommendedFor | Parrots, including African Gray and Amazon parrot | | usageInstructions | Mix with fresh vegetables and fruits daily. | | packaging | Large bag | ##
