# Idahoan Homestyle Mashed Potatoes *Published: 2026-10-10 | Updated: 2026-10-10 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/idahoan-homestyle-mashed-potatoes* --- **Brand:** Idahoan **Price Range:** $1.12 - $34.41 across 28 retailers ## Pros - Highly praised for their taste and quality, considered the best instant mashed potatoes tried so far - Surprising realism and satisfaction in flavor, despite being instant - Rich buttery flavor that enhances the taste experience - Very quick and easy to prepare—just add boiling water - Versatile for use in casseroles, dishes, or as a quick side - Ideal for college students, singles, or elderly individuals due to convenience - Popular among picky eaters; even children and finicky family members enjoy them - Made from real potatoes, providing authentic taste without peeling or mashing - The flavor holds up well when served with gravy, adding to overall richness - Stay-fresh packs make portioning and storage simple ## Cons - Damage to containers upon arrival, with nine out of twelve bent or broken, preventing proper use - Slightly more expensive than regular instant mashed potatoes, though the convenience is seen as worth it - Discrepancy in packaging—received only one 4 oz pouch vs. the expected twelve, causing concern about quantity and value - Buying in large quantities can be costly, limiting overall affordability for some - Some reviews mention the packaging damage as a recurring issue, which can lead to waste and disappointment ## Specifications | Attribute | Value | |-----------|-------| | UPC | 029700021412 | | ASIN | B000KOUK6A | | Size | 4 Ounce (Pack of 12) | | Color | Creamy Yellow | | Flavor | Buttery Homestyle | | Cuisine | American | | Diet Type | Vegetarian | | Item Form | Mashed | | Specialty | Gluten Free | | Brand Name | Idahoan | | Unit Count | 48 Ounce | | Item Weight | 0.27 g | | Part Number | 2970000141 | | Manufacturer | Idahoan | | Model Number | 2970000141 | | Item Highlight | Real Idaho Potatoes and Butter | Rich, Creamy and Fluffy | Gluten-Free | Quick and Easy to Prepare Side Dish or Dinner Meal | | Number of Items | 12 | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 2,858Reviews | | Number of Pieces | 12 | | Region of Origin | Idaho | ## About This Product Idahoan Buttery Homestyle Mashed Potatoes always means 100% REAL Idaho® Potatoes.
