# General Tso's Chicken, 18 oz. *Published: 2026-03-11 | Updated: 2026-03-11 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/general-tsos-chicken-18-oz.* --- **Brand:** Innovasian **Price Range:** $5.97 - $11.72 across 13 retailers ## Pros - The chicken features a thin, tempura-style breading that crisps up nicely, especially when cooked in an air fryer, providing a pleasant chewy texture similar to classic Chinese takeout favorites. - The sauce has a spicy kick balanced by a sweet aftertaste, creating a glaze with strong guajillo pepper and sugar flavors that is not too runny. - The portion size suits one adult and pairs wonderfully with sticky rice, enhancing the overall meal experience. - Preparation is straightforward, and many users find the product delivers consistent, reliable results when using an air fryer instead of the recommended oven method. - The product offers a nostalgic flavor reminiscent of 1980s/1990s bar food, appealing to those looking for that familiar taste. ## Cons - The sauce deviates significantly from traditional General Tso’s, lacking familiar garlic and vinegar notes, and can be extremely spicy—some suggest using less sauce or adding toasted sesame oil to balance the heat. - Quality control appears inconsistent; some packages contain small scraps rather than proper chunks of chicken, and the appearance can sometimes be unappetizing or vary in color. - When following the package oven cooking instructions, the chicken tends to come out less crispy than expected, leading many to prefer air frying despite instructions. - Sauce consistency can vary between batches, occasionally being too thin and failing to coat the chicken properly. ## Specifications | Attribute | Value | |-----------|-------| | product_name | Innovasian, General Tso's Chicken, 18 oz.
