# Exo Terra SolarGlo 125W Lamp *Published: 2025-02-23 | Updated: 2025-02-23 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/exo-terra-solarglo-125w-lamp* --- **Brand:** Exo Terra **Price Range:** $1 - $100.99 across 68 retailers ## Pros - The Exo Terra SolarGlo Lamp has a long lifespan, often lasting over a year which outperforms its recommended replacement timeframe. - Provides essential UVA and UVB lighting and warmth for reptiles, significantly improving their activity and appetite. - Highly dependable and recommended for reptile care, particularly effective for bearded dragons and turtles. - Includes a cooling mechanism that prevents overheating by automatically turning off if it gets too hot. - Lights up immediately without a warm-up period, offering consistent performance. - The bulb's performance is highly satisfying to long-time users, with many eager to repurchase. - Comes with a coupon booklet for savings on pet treats, adding extra value. ## Cons - Some users report the bulb generates extremely high temperatures, which may not be suitable for all reptiles, especially baby dragons and certain specific animals. - The bulb may flicker initially for a couple of days before stabilizing to function well. - Does not generate as much heat as expected when placed too far; positioning closer might be necessary for effective basking. - Requires a compatible deep dome fixture without dimmers, as many standard fixtures do not support the 125W bulb. - Specific fixtures, like the Zoo Med Mini Deep Dome, are unsuitable due to wattage limits, potentially causing blown bulbs. ##
