# EGO Power+ LM2142SP Lawn Mower *Published: 2026-03-24 | Updated: 2026-03-24 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/ego-power+-lm2142sp-lawn-mower* --- **Brand:** EGO Power+ **Price Range:** $475 - $1252.43 across 25 retailers ## Pros - The self-propelled feature works smoothly with adjustable speed and ergonomic controls, making mowing less physically demanding, especially on hills and curves. - Comes with two 5.0 Ah batteries that provide about 2 hours of mowing time, charge quickly, and maintain capacity well over 3 years, with each charge able to cover a half-acre with battery left to spare. - Batteries are interchangeable with other EGO Power+ tools, adding great convenience and value. - Exceptional mulching performance leaves no visible clippings and effectively returns nutrients to the soil, outperforming many gas mowers in lawn quality. - Offers versatile grass handling with mulching, bagging, and side discharge options. - Well-balanced and powerful design with thoughtful ergonomics, making it easy to handle and maneuver. - Runs quietly compared to gas mowers while still delivering strong power and automatic power adjustments in thick grass. - The mower is covered by a solid 5-year warranty that has proven reliable in addressing issues like circuit problems. - Eliminates the hassle of gas, oil, and heavy ear protection, making maintenance simpler and cleaner. - Overall highly reliable and efficient in performance, with many users considering it the best mower they've ever owned. ## Cons - The automatic bagging system is prone to frequent blockages, requiring manual intervention to push grass down or empty the bag more often than desired. - The mower’s weight can leave wheel traces on softer grass, which might be less ideal for some lawns compared to lighter or gas models. - Instructions for maintenance tasks like blade removal and sharpening are not clear, and necessary tools are not included, which could make upkeep more challenging. - Although assembly is generally easy, the instruction manual lacks clarity in some areas. - While the mower handles various terrains well, some users noted that interchangeable batteries work best with higher amperage models for optimal performance and duration. ## Last Seen Prices | Retailer | Price | Availability | Last seen | Store's standard terms |
