If you need a better all-around option, consider a model with stronger carpet performance and longer battery life. ## Pros - Powerful suction effortlessly picks up dust, pet hair, and debris from hardwood floors, rugs, and various surfaces. - The innovative green laser beam skillfully reveals hidden dust particles on hard floors, making cleaning extremely thorough and satisfying. - Cordless, lightweight design with easy tool changes enhances maneuverability, especially under furniture and in tight spaces. - Up to 60 minutes of runtime allows for extended cleaning sessions without frequent recharging. - Smart technology intelligently adjusts suction power based on floor type and debris, with an informative LED screen showing battery life and performance stats. - Easy-to-empty dust bin and washable HEPA filter simplify maintenance and improve hygiene. - Comes with a versatile set of accessories tailored for different cleaning tasks, including pet hair removal and crevice cleaning. - Docking station offers a neat storage and charging solution, keeping the vacuum ready for use. - Generally praised for improving the daily cleaning routine and making vacuuming feel less like a chore. ## Cons - Struggles on carpets: although suction is strong, users often find it difficult to push on thick or textured carpets, which may slow down cleaning and cause fatigue. - Trigger-style handle requires constant gripping, which can feel awkward and tiring during longer cleaning sessions. - Battery life, while decent, sometimes feels limiting, prompting some users to consider purchasing an extra battery for large homes. - Dustbin capacity is on the smaller side (0.76L), leading to frequent emptying during bigger cleaning tasks. - Some users report the vacuum feels heavier and less ergonomic than expected, which can be a downside for older adults or those with lifting concerns. - Attaching and detaching tools or the wand can be fiddly, impacting quick transitions between cleaning modes. - The vacuum can be tricky to control initially and may require a learning curve to use comfortably. - Certain floor edges and corners, especially where walls meet baseboards, can be missed due to the cleaning head design. ## Professional Reviews - [Dyson V15 Detect Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Review: Powerful Cleaning Simplified](https://www.bobvila.com/articles/dyson-v15-review/) — *Source* - [The Dyson V15 Detect Impresses in Consumer Reports' Tests.
