Summary as of Oct 13, 2026. ## Pros - Compact and portable design makes it easy to carry around for quick cleanups. - Works fairly well when the battery is fully charged, providing decent suction for a cordless vacuum. - Suitable as a bare tool if you already own compatible DEWALT 20V MAX batteries and chargers. ## Cons - Battery connection to both the vacuum and charger is unreliable, frequently disconnecting with slightest movement. - Battery does not securely lock into place, making the cordless aspect frustrating and sometimes unusable. - Battery performance suffers from rapid power degradation due to high power draw. - Charger lacks a proper latch or clip to hold the battery firmly, requiring constant adjustment. - Hose is short, flimsy, and tends to pull out from the housing, reducing durability and ease of use. - Overall, power and battery issues significantly impact the vacuum’s convenience and reliability. ## Specifications | Attribute | Value | |-----------|-------| | UPC | 885911461108 | | ASIN | B01CKIZ8BA | | Color | Black/Yellow | | Voltage | 20 volts | | Amperage | 20 A | | Capacity | 0.5 gallons | | Brand Name | DEWALT | | Model Name | 20V MAX CORDLESS WET/DRY VAC | | Style Name | Wet/Dry Vac Only | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Filter Type | HEPA Filter | | Form Factor | Handheld | | Item Weight | 4.5 pounds | | Noise Level | 80 db | | Finish Types | Brushed | | Manufacturer | DEWALT | | Model Number | DCV517B | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Brand | DEWALT | | Control Method | Touch | ## About This Product The 20V MAX* 1/2 Gallon Wet/Dry Portable Vacuum runs off all 20V MAX* battery packs for long runtime.
