Summary as of Oct 13, 2026. ## Expert Summary While it struts around with the grace of a high-quality heavyweight champion, ready for the harshest dance floors, the kit flirts with disaster when its drill chuck side-steps or when it plays battery level charades. If reliability is your main squeeze, consider probing further - maybe even waltz around with another option or two. ## Pros - Honey, if durability and longevity were a contest, this tool kit would be taking home the crown, surviving heavy drops and unforgiving conditions with elegance. - The impact driver is like that reliable friend who's always there for you, working flawlessly for 3-4 years without throwing any tantrums. - If you're upgrading from that ancient 12V drill, honey, buckle up because this is the glow-up you didn't know you needed. - Built-in lights and belt clips? Yes, please! It's like the Swiss army knife of tool kits, but even better because it's actually useful. - The impact driver is basically your secret weapon for screwing into those tight spaces or hardwoods without breaking a sweat. - Drilling through those beefy anchors? This kit does it with ease, making it look like butter. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better. - Lightweight but doesn't compromise on power - it's like the featherweight champion of the tool world. - High-quality product + DEWALT's street cred? That's like finding out your blind date is actually royalty. ## Cons - Oh, darling, the drill's chuck slipping is like that one dancer out of step in a perfect routine - disappointing, especially from a high-end DeWalt product. - Charger playing pretend with battery levels? It's like being promised a gourmet meal but getting fast food instead. - The batteries having more commitment issues than a teenage romance, only reaching a partial charge. - Drill turning into a diva and holding onto the screwdriver bit like it's the last piece of chocolate? Not the performance you signed up for. - Having to possibly shell out extra cash for a new charger because the original one is being moody about charging. ## Professional Reviews - [Get a FREE DeWalt 20V 5.0Ah Battery with Select Tool Purchase!](https://www.protoolreviews.com/new-dewalt-20v-max-xr-drills-impact-driver/) — *Source* - [DEWALT DCK283D2 Combo Kit Review](https://www.toolboxbuzz.com/cordless-tools/combo-kit/dewalt-20v-max-brushless-compact-combo-kit/) — *Source* - [DEWALT DCK283D2 Combo Kit Review](https://www.toolboxbuzz.com/page/84/?attachment_id=cqalntgi&=1) — *Source* - [Dewalt Cordless Combo Kit Review](https://toolsinaction.com/dewalt-cordless-combo-kit-review/) — *Source* ## About This Product The Cordless Compact Drill / Driver and Impact Driver tools in this 20V MAX* XR Combo Kit have powerful motors of DEWALT cordless tools to deliver maximum runtime.
