# Dap Clear Acrylic Latex Caulk *Published: 2024-08-02 | Updated: 2024-12-11 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/products/dap-clear-acrylic-latex-caulk* --- **Brand:** DAP **Price Range:** $1.65 - $54.84 across 91 retailers ## Pros - Effectively addresses water leakage issues, providing peace of mind. - Easily pumps from the tube for straightforward application. - Stays sticky during application, ensuring good surface adhesion. - Simple cleanup with a damp rag before it dries. - Ideal for sealing around windows, trim, and filling gaps in wood siding before painting. - Effectively seals cracks and keeps bugs out. - Easier to apply compared to expensive alternatives like Flex Seal caulk. ## Cons - Thinner and runnier than similar products, possibly making application challenging. - Not suitable for vertical joints, lacks necessary consistency to hold in place. - Remains sticky even after drying, posing a problem for floor applications and difficult cleanup. - Did not dry satisfactorily and remained sticky after 72 hours. - Claims of being paintable in 30 minutes are misleading; it takes longer to dry. - Clear caulk can yellow after a few days and doesn't accept paint well. - Clear caulk has significant shrinkage issues compared to the white version. ## Specifications | Attribute | Value | |-----------|-------| | model | 18156 | | mpn | 18156 | | sku | 18156 | | size | 10.1 oz | | warranty | 40 years | | application | interior and exterior use | | color | clear | ## Last Seen Prices | Retailer | Price | Availability | Last seen | Store's standard terms | |----------|-------|-------------|-----------|------------------------| | [My Store](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/15xcUAbsFRi4fVfIt0bQ?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $1.65 | In Stock | 2023-04-26 (may have changed) | | | [My Store](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/I7T0z7eWQ9ZPS3fZGSjn?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $1.65 | In Stock | 2023-03-19 (may have changed) | | | [My Store](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/8kjffGtXmN2wWvA5KU4G?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $1.90 | In Stock | 2023-03-03 (may have changed) | | | [Fleet Farm](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/01PaINyZmHEiINfpEUt9?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $2.89 | In Stock | 2024-04-23 (may have changed) | | | [Tools 4 Flooring](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/p4HbTz8vuHcux2N2wREA?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $2.96 | In Stock | 2023-08-19 (may have changed) | | | [OfficeCrave.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/Td22p0UcQUiC3J4obqbW?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $2.98 | In Stock | 2023-08-19 (may have changed) | | | [Grange Co-op](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/lOtesrVY8hP5KUXBErGX?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $2.99 | In Stock | 2022-12-14 (may have changed) | | | [Rural King](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/0ulMxDtrMfERfcyyRULi?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $2.99 | In Stock | 2024-04-23 (may have changed) | | | [blain farm & fleet](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/6c8f9396-489c-bcb4-a308-1a500ae91193?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $3.29 | In Stock | 2024-04-23 (may have changed) | | | [Murdoch's Ranch & Home Supply](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/ZZ1RWTw8aG85FH6CDq2F?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $3.29 | In Stock | 2022-08-13 (may have changed) | | | [Ideal True Value Home Center](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/3s8dakjdal0TD53PZedr?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $3.46 | In Stock | 2024-04-23 (may have changed) | | | [SHC Supply](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/dgs1IvWDKu7ytA2SHmPz?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $3.51 | In Stock | 2024-04-23 (may have changed) | | | [Cable Ranch](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/Y93n4WWnpQq9ZAE0Z0DZ?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $3.52 | In Stock | 2022-10-11 (may have changed) | | | [Ideal True Value Home Center](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/NDRNnrJTXiejHvgBc0AZ?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $3.53 | In Stock | 2022-08-13 (may have changed) | | | [The BuildClub](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/TIosewke8JudBh1ndfu2?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $3.53 | In Stock | 2022-08-13 (may have changed) | | | [Lowes](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/zWYkUjoMiJ6IhMj7O57O?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $3.58 | In Stock | 2023-07-25 (may have changed) | 90-day returns (in store too) | | [The Home Depot](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/P1qZLqTs9nGrlKpl5sLq?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $3.58 | In Stock | 2022-08-19 (may have changed) | 90-day returns (in store too) | | [Jaeger Lumber](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/0feaffba-70c8-242c-1914-fc6f102daebe?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $3.59 | In Stock | 2023-09-08 (may have changed) | | | [Shell Lumber and Hardware](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/2iRGEMc2outAZUH8UhPO?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $3.59 | In Stock | 2022-07-30 (may have changed) | | | [Stine Lumber](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/qbDfdTuwS0qFFqMhEsUz/offers/49Fdx1Y70V6ds032YMln?source=shopsavvy&medium=product-page) | $3.59 | In Stock | 2023-09-04 (may have changed) | | *Store terms are each retailer's standard return and shipping policy from ShopSavvy's retailer research;
