## Pros
- Effective AI-powered person detection enhances security accuracy
- Supports geofencing-based Away mode for automation when leaving home
- Infrared night vision improves low-light visibility, with videos slightly better than daytime footage
- Wide 147-degree field of view covers a large area
- Easy setup and a user-friendly app make live viewing, alerts, and settings adjustments straightforward
- Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant for convenient voice control and smart home integration
- Sleek, matte-black design blends well with home decor without being overly conspicuous
- Supports both wired and wireless installation options for flexibility in placement
- Provides free 24-hour video history, giving a basic overview without a subscription
- Person detection reduces false alerts and improves monitoring focus

## Cons
- Video quality is pixelated and sometimes blurry, especially during daylight, hampering identification
- Night vision, while functional, still produces poor image quality overall
- Two-way audio requires a paid plan, and some users report audio clarity issues
- Large and conspicuous design makes the camera visible and potentially tempting to tamper with
- Limited features beyond person detection—no package detection, environmental sensors, or sirens (unless opting for Canary Pro)
- Occasional missed motion detections can impact reliability
- Video streaming can lag or be delayed, affecting real-time monitoring
- Cloud storage is not free beyond initial access and can get pricey with extended plans
- Limited to three camera models, restricting system expansion options
- Design lacks discreetness for users wanting minimal visibility
