However, brace yourself for some high-maintenance cleaning rituals and skyrocketing running costs. If manual cleaning sounds like a hassle, you might want to keep looking or settle for an older, less finicky model. ## Pros - Delivers an incredibly smooth and close shave, akin to a traditional razor shave. - Effectively handles difficult-to-shave areas like stubble on the neck, needing fewer passes. - Works efficiently without needing additional pre-shave products. - Excellent battery life, with fast charging and the ability to maintain charge for weeks. - Convenient for travel, with a smart case offering a charging solution. - Significant improvement in shaving experience and comfort compared to older models like the Series 7. - Lightweight design enhances ease of use, allowing easy skin stretching during shaving. - Enhanced cleaning station provides great functionality, leaving a pleasant scent and preventing damage with rubber dams. - Fans in the charging station improve drying functionality, absent in previous models. - Highly recommended as an upgrade from cheaper electric razors. ## Cons - Cleaning station requires frequent maintenance and can get messy, attracting hair residue. - Numerous intricate parts make manual cleaning challenging and time-consuming. - Replacement cleaning fluid cartridges are costly and have a short lifespan. - Price is high compared to other models, sometimes not justifying the performance leap. - Bulky and heavy travel case can be cumbersome despite its protective benefits. - Poorly written instructions make using and maintaining the product difficult. - Performance resembles the older Series 5 when new, without any groundbreaking advancements. - Shaving too quickly without proper skin stretching can lead to cuts, particularly on the neck. - Some users experience the product's limited lifespan, with failure reported after about 22 months. ## Specifications | Attribute | Value | |-----------|-------| | model | Series 9 Pro 9477cc | | brand | Braun | | shavingType | foil | | batteryLife | excellent | | weight | light | | trimmer | slide-up | | color | silver | ## Professional Reviews - [Braun Series 9 Pro review](https://www.techradar.com/reviews/braun-series-9-pro-electric-shaver-with-powercase) — *Source* - [Save $80 on the Best Electric Razor We've Tested](https://www.menshealth.com/grooming/a39107196/braun-series-9-pro-review/) — *Source* ## About This Product Braun Series 9 Pro wet and dry foil shaver provides you with both a close and gentle shave, no matter if it's a 1, 3, or 7-day beard.
